Let me start by saying that I am a Bulldawg rod retailer and have been for over 10 years. The Trophy Tech people are first class businessmen and I have enjoyed my relationship with them. Selling 100s and 100s of Trophy Series Bass Rods every year over this time period has told me all I need to know about the quality, reliability and value of Bulldawg rods. They were the first to have blanks made with Japanese Torian carbon fiber, and the end result was a rod that was stronger, lighter and more sensitive than your standard graphite blank. Other companies have followed Bulldawg’s lead over the years, but there is one thing that those who have followed have never been able to duplicate. The price!!! Similar rods with similar components sell for 50, 60 and even 100 dollars more. Dollar for dollar, the Trophy series bass rod may very well be the best bass rod value on the market whether you’re a novice weekender or a seasoned tournament veteran. My customers always remember to tell me what I told them when they bought their first Bulldawg: ” Once you use this rod, you’ll be calling me for more and different models.” Most customers have 2 or 3 Bulldawgs but there are many who own and fish 5, 6 or 7 models. And just when you think it can’t get any better, it did. Finishing up my fall season up here in the northeast, I was fortunate enough to get 4 different Bulldawg Tournament series models during the summer. Using upgraded, guides, reel seat, a slightly different blank composition and going back to a cork handle as they did in the wayback beginning, the Tournament series rods I used this year were the most comfortable that I’ve ever fished with . You’ve got to have one and feel one to believe it and the promise I always made to my first time Trophy Series buyers will no doubt carry over to first time Tournament Series buyers. Come check out what your next rod should be at the New England Fishing and Sports shows this winter at Boxboro, Ma., Springfield, Ma., Mohegan Sun Casino and the New Hampshire Dome, or drop a note to Jim or Jay at Trophy Tech and place an order there .
